Plans are underway to attract $100 million to the Educational Centers Association by 2026. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this at a meeting in Surkhandarya region on February 27.
The funds will be directed to entrepreneurs as low-interest loans, subsidies, and compensation for rental payments for buildings.
The president supported this initiative during a dialogue with youth on February 24. Landlords renting buildings to association members will be exempt from rental income tax and profit tax.
It is proposed to send teachers for internships to leading educational institutions in the US, UK, Singapore, Japan, and other countries using funds from the Youth Affairs Agency.
Education expert Komil Jalilov called the initiative to establish the association a "warning signal," as state intervention could negatively impact competition and education quality.
