President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated schoolchildren, teachers, mentors, and parents on Knowledge Day, which coincides with the 35th anniversary of the country's independence.

The head of state extended his warmest wishes to nearly 800,000 children who are crossing the school threshold for the first time this year, calling educated and diligent youth the sprouts of the Third Renaissance and the golden fund of the nation.

In his congratulatory message, the leader emphasized that thanks to large-scale reforms in recent years, schools of New Uzbekistan are being radically transformed, and the quality of education is steadily improving.

"Let the new academic year become a year of enlightenment across the entire education system of the country, in the life of our schools, lyceums, technical colleges, and universities!" the president noted.

He stressed that priority attention to education will continue, ensuring that school graduates possess not only deep knowledge but also at least one modern profession. To achieve these goals, it is planned to create "professional towns" in the regions, involving leading specialists and advanced experience.

Addressing the younger generation, Mirziyoyev urged youth to value their youth, deeply study native and foreign languages, innovations, and history, and remain devoted to their homeland.

"Dear children, the key that opens the doors to a happy and prosperous life, helps find answers to complex questions, and worthily overcome trials and difficulties on your life path is knowledge and only knowledge," the head of state emphasized, wishing students a successful academic year and excellent grades.

Earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated the people of Uzbekistan on the 35th anniversary of the country's state independence.
