Starting September 1, 2026, certain Indian citizens will be eligible for a simplified entry regime into Uzbekistan. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of Uzbekistan.

The visa-free regime, valid for up to 30 days, will apply to Indian nationals holding a valid multiple-entry business or tourist visa from one of the following countries: Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, Canada, South Korea, Schengen Area member states, New Zealand, and Japan.

Additionally, travelers must present an airline ticket for departure from Uzbekistan to India or a third country.

The visa-free period is counted from the date of entry into Uzbekistan and remains valid within the validity period of the foreign visa. This initiative is expected to boost tourism and business ties between the two nations.
