A new bridge over the Naryn River has been completed in the Namangan region of Uzbekistan, directly linking three districts with the regional center. This infrastructure project is expected to significantly improve transport connectivity in the area.

According to the Ministry of Transport, the bridge spans 481.5 meters, making it one of the largest and longest river bridges built in Uzbekistan since independence. The project also included the construction of 17.5 kilometers of new highway.

The new route connects the Uychi, Uchkurgan, and Naryn districts with the city of Namangan. Officials believe that the new infrastructure will help reduce traffic congestion on roads in the Uychi and Naryn districts and lower the risk of road accidents.

The ministry emphasized that the bridge is part of broader efforts to modernize the country's road network and improve safety for drivers and pedestrians alike.

Earlier, a new bridge was opened in the Sergeli district of Tashkent between the mahallas of Junaryk and Yukori Darkhon. Previously, local residents, including schoolchildren, had to cross a canal using pipes, which posed significant safety risks.
