A significant personnel change has taken place at Uzbekistan's Ministry of Digital Technologies. According to an order signed by the head of the Presidential Administration, Asadjan Azatbekovich Khodjaev has been appointed as Deputy Minister for Compliance and Internal Control in the field of anti-corruption. The ministry's press service reported the appointment.

The new appointment aims to ensure transparency and the rule of law in the digital sector, particularly in public procurement, licensing, and the implementation of digital projects. Khodjaev is expected to focus on reducing corruption risks and improving internal audit and control mechanisms within the ministry.

Prior to this appointment, from July 2020, Khodjaev served as Director of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications. His leadership of the agency was linked to reforms in the media sphere and digitalization. Five years later, in July 2025, the agency was abolished.

Now the former agency head will apply his experience to strengthening the anti-corruption and internal control system at the Ministry of Digital Technologies. This appointment aligns with Uzbekistan's priority tasks of developing the digital economy and enhancing openness in public administration.
