Following a gas explosion on September 3 caused by a leak from an underground gas pipeline on Glinka Street in Tashkent, a special working group was established on the orders of the city mayor to conduct inspections in other areas of the capital. The press service of the Tashkent city administration reported this.

The group included specialists from Veolia Energy Tashkent (heat supply), Toshkent Shahar Suv Ta'minoti (water supply), and Hududgaz Poytaxt (gas supply). During the inspections, 4 leaks were detected in medium-pressure gas pipelines and 6 in low-pressure pipelines. All faults were promptly repaired, according to the statement.

Repair and restoration work on Glinka Street has been completed, and traffic has been restored. Additionally, mobile laboratories from Hududgazta'minot and other organizations are conducting a comprehensive inspection of engineering networks in areas adjacent to the street to identify potential gas leaks.

"These efforts are aimed at preventing future emergencies, ensuring public safety, and maintaining the stable and reliable operation of the city's infrastructure," the administration noted.

Recall that in the summer, work was carried out on Glinka Street to upgrade outdated engineering networks and replace pipes. The Yakkasaray district administration reported that the new pipes had been tested for strength and serviceability.
