Officers from the Road Safety Department of the Public Security Directorate of the Bukhara Regional Internal Affairs Department conducted a training session at Secondary School No. 42 in Bukhara under the slogan “Attention, Children!” The event was part of the preventive campaign “Safe Territory — Active 30 Days.”

During the lesson, schoolchildren were taught safe behavior on the roadway. They were taken outside and instructed to raise their hands while crossing the road to be more visible to drivers. They were also taught to stop at the edge of the road, make sure vehicles had come to a complete stop, and only then cross.

Recall that in 2023, schoolchildren in the Khorezm region were taught to cross the road by bowing to drivers as a sign of gratitude. Children were asked to first stop at a special marking, ensure cars had stopped, and only then cross the roadway. After crossing, they were advised to thank drivers by bowing and waving. The regional road safety department stated that such actions were driven by Uzbek national traditions.

These preventive measures aim to instill safe road behavior in the younger generation and reduce child traffic injuries. Authorities emphasize that practical exercises play a key role in preventing road accidents involving minors.
