Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. In the Uchkuprik district of the Fergana region, 57 people have been hospitalized with suspected food poisoning. They began seeking medical help after eating hot dogs and burgers at a fast-food outlet.

Patients complained of weakness, nausea, and diarrhea. A preliminary epidemiological investigation showed that all those affected had consumed products from the same establishment.

As of 17:00 on September 18, 37 people required medical assistance. By 20:00, the number of hospitalized had risen to 57. There are no severe patients or those requiring intensive care among them. Specialists have taken samples from patients and food products from the establishment for laboratory testing.

The fast-food outlet has been temporarily closed. The epidemiological investigation is ongoing.

Earlier, it was reported that in Fergana, two brothers were convicted of murdering their mother and stepfather and attempting to kill their younger brother. The elder was sentenced to life imprisonment, and his 17-year-old brother to 13 years.
