In Tashkent's Yashnabad district, a former member of an organized crime group was found in possession of cocaine. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the man had previously been convicted and was an associate of a notorious criminal figure known as "Zhora Tashkentsky."

The special operation was conducted by officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Operational Search Department, its regional units, and the Tashkent prosecutor's office. During a search of the apartment, several paper bundles wrapped in tape were found in the living room. Expertise confirmed that they contained a powdered narcotic substance — cocaine. The substance was seized and registered as material evidence.

According to law enforcement, the suspect is a native of the Fergana region. He had previously been convicted on several criminal charges and was a member of criminal groups. A criminal case has been initiated against him for illegal drug trafficking.

Earlier in Tashkent, security forces caught a 36-year-old woman red-handed while she was organizing a drug stash. She was carrying 146 packets of mephedrone and MDMA. At the main synthetic drug warehouse, 1.127 kilograms of mephedrone, 700 grams of alpha-PVP, 427 grams of MDMA, 200 grams of cocaine, 100 grams of hashish, and packaging materials were discovered.
