Law enforcement authorities in Uzbekistan’s Namangan region have successfully dismantled a clandestine laboratory dedicated to the illicit manufacturing and distribution of synthetic narcotics. The targeted operation, executed in the Davlatabad district, resulted in the apprehension of a 36-year-old local resident following a coordinated probe by the regional Directorate of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service.

According to official reports, the suspect was caught red-handed on September 26 in the Yuksalish neighborhood during a sting operation. Operatives moved in as he attempted to sell approximately 5 grams of synthetic drugs, packaged in plastic wrapping, to an undercover buyer for 2 million Uzbek soums.

A subsequent procedural search of the suspect's residence unveiled the scale of the illegal manufacturing setup. Law enforcement officers discovered approximately 300 grams of synthetic substances. Forensics and narcotics specialists estimate that the seized batch represents roughly 30,000 individual doses that were bound for the illegal market.

Investigators also seized an array of specialized equipment, including 11 packaging and processing tools, high-precision electronic digital scales, around 500 zip-lock plastic baggies, and a mobile device allegedly used to orchestrate drug drop-offs and communicate with buyers via Telegram. Furthermore, officers confiscated $5,000 in cash, presumed to be proceeds derived from ongoing narcotics trafficking.

Criminal proceedings have been formally instituted against the detained individual under statutory provisions governing illegal narcotics trade and the operation of illicit drug laboratories. The suspect remains in custody as authorities work to trace the supply chain of chemical precursors and identify any broader syndicate connections.
