In accordance with a decree issued by the khokim of the Tashkent region, disciplinary measures have been officially applied to Muzaffar Aripov, the head of the Pskent district. The relevant document was signed by the regional governor on October 13.

The official document states that the district leader violated the requirements of the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution dated October 14, 2022, which outlines mandatory rules of conduct and ethical standards for civil servants. Authorities noted that the official breached professional ethics expected of a public servant.

Consequently, Muzaffar Aripov was reprimanded as a disciplinary measure. The decision was based on a submission from the Anti-Corruption Agency, the protocol issued by the regional administration's Ethics Commission, and an explanatory letter submitted by Aripov himself.

It is worth recalling that prior to this disciplinary action, the Pskent district head was involved in a major controversy after reportedly exerting pressure on local farmers and threatening to confiscate their land. Audio or reports indicated the official warned farmers not to 'play games' and used aggressive rhetoric.

Following the incident, the Farmers Council appealed to the prosecutor's office requesting a legal assessment of the khokim's actions, while the Business Ombudsman stated that the situation had been taken under special control. Meanwhile, the Pskent district administration initially attempted to issue a defensive response, blaming the farmers and pointing out that agricultural land does not constitute private property.
