Law enforcement agencies have dismantled an underground laboratory operating inside a multi-story residential apartment in the city of Gulistan, Syrdarya region. The operation successfully disrupted the illicit processing and distribution of potent medical substances by local individuals.

According to reports, the joint raid was executed by officers from the Syrdarya regional department of the State Security Service and the regional Internal Affairs Directorate. During the search, authorities seized 5 kilograms and 863 grams of the potent substance pregabalin, alongside 100,000 empty capsules, as material evidence. *_{skip_note}_*

Investigators state that three local residents, born in 2003 and 2005, are currently suspected of involvement in the operation. In the presence of independent witnesses, officers confiscated not only the drugs and capsules but also two electronic scales, medical gloves, and various other items utilized for packaging and processing.

A criminal case has been initiated under the relevant provisions of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and all three suspects have been placed in pretrial detention. Follow-up investigative actions are currently underway to uncover any broader network connections.
