The authorities in Uzbekistan have reportedly adopted a new presidential decree aimed at modifying the country's transport and logistics framework. According to the official provisions, starting November 1, 2026, the current customs clearance fee for international courier shipments is claimed to be decreased by 20 percent.

Under the existing regulations, the customs clearance duty for international courier parcels stands at 2 percent of the Basic Calculation Unit per gross kilogram. Following the implementation of the newly announced reduction, the fee will supposedly drop to 1.6 percent of the said unit, a move intended to adjust the ongoing operational costs within the sector.

Observers note that this adjustment follows a series of tightening measures previously introduced by the government regarding personal imports. Earlier restrictions included strict limitations on duty-free thresholds for individual parcels, shortened quarterly allowances, and mandatory customs declarations for all incoming mobile devices regardless of their declared value.
