The state-owned share package of the national postal operator Uzbek Post (UzPost) has reportedly been transferred to trust management under WB INT EXPORT LLC, an entity affiliated with the Russian marketplace giant Wildberries. This arrangement has come to light following documentation from a shareholders' meeting held on September 21, which details several legal actions and references to the underlying trust management agreement.

According to the documents, relying on specific clauses of the contract, WB INT EXPORT purportedly requested the election of five candidates nominated by the company to the postal operator's supervisory board. Citing corporate legislation, the Russian firm asserted its status as the official trust manager of the state shares, granting it comprehensive shareholder rights to initiate extraordinary meetings and reshape corporate governance.

As a result of the September proceedings, a new nine-member supervisory board was elected for a three-year term, with five seats secured by representatives tied to Wildberries & Russ. The remaining four positions were distributed among state representatives and an independent member. This corporate shift contrasts sharply with previous assertions made by local regulatory officials.

Earlier, State Assets Management Agency Director Sahibjon Muradov publicly claimed that UzPost was not under the trust management of Wildberries, maintaining that only a cooperation agreement existed between the parties. However, corporate disclosures directly contradict those official statements, demonstrating that the external investor has secured substantial operational control over the national postal infrastructure.
