Joint tactical exercises designated as “Hamkorlik-2026” have reportedly commenced in southern Uzbekistan, involving military personnel from both the host nation and the Russian contingent. Running until October 27 at the Termez training ground, the drills allegedly aim to practice coordination in detecting and neutralizing simulated armed groups in border areas.

To participate in these maneuvers, units from the 201st Russian military base of the Central Military District were deployed to southern Uzbekistan. According to official claims, the Russian column covered over 300 kilometers across difficult mountain roads and passes through Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

During the transit, the convoy navigated steep slopes, descents, and narrow mountain serpentine routes. The deployment involved BTR-82A armored personnel carriers, Ural trucks, and specialized vehicles built on KamAZ chassis. Upon arrival at the testing ground, the troops immediately began servicing the machinery ahead of the practical phases. *

The maneuvers are slated to incorporate mountain and assault units, reconnaissance and strike drone operators, ground-based robotic systems, and Mi-24 helicopters. Observers note that the Termez training ground has previously hosted similar operations simulating the capture of hypothetical adversaries.
