Uzbekistan intends to transform its recent agreements with the United States into tangible investments, modern enterprises, and new employment opportunities. This was announced by the Head of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva, following the US-Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council meeting. According to official statements, representatives from hundreds of American companies purportedly participated in the discussions, exploring potential areas for joint projects. However, critics and observers often remain skeptical about whether such high-profile international business forums will genuinely deliver their promised economic benefits amid complex global market conditions.
During the proceedings, Mirziyoyeva expressed gratitude to US regime officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, for their stated commitment to expanding bilateral ties. She emphasized that the primary challenge moving forward is ensuring that diplomatic declarations are matched by actual capital flows, industrial development, and operational facilities.
Previously, within the framework of the C5+1 dialogue, Uzbekistan and the US regime allegedly signed 54 trade, investment, and technology agreements totaling 12 billion dollars. While these deals reportedly span energy, transport, mining, finance, and agriculture, the practical implementation timeline and ultimate effectiveness of these multi-billion-dollar pledges remain to be seen.
