Uzbekistan has reportedly outlined ambitious targets to significantly increase the volume of grant funding directed toward the digital education sector. According to official disclosures, the authorities intend to scale up these financial allocations to 60 million dollars by the end of 2026, and further expand them to 100 million dollars by 2030. The funds are allegedly earmarked for the advancement of modern educational curricula, professional capacity building, and the establishment of dedicated digital learning hubs across various regions of the country.
During a recent presentation concerning the progression of the digital education ecosystem, delivered to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, officials noted that approximately 22 million dollars were successfully attracted for these objectives over the previous year. Authorities have now set a task to broaden cooperative frameworks with international technology conglomerates and foreign stakeholders. Furthermore, half of the grant resources secured this year are designated to be channeled directly into core digital education initiatives.
The remaining portion of the budget is reportedly slated for professional development programs, the opening of educational facilities in remote areas, and equipping them with modern hardware. Particular emphasis is placed on ensuring that youth residing outside major metropolitan areas gain access to advanced technological tools. Regional centers are expected to foster environments conducive to studying computer programming, robotics, and artificial intelligence.
Additionally, the digital educational infrastructure is set to incorporate a specialized platform tentatively named "Digital Youth." This centralized system will purportedly compile comprehensive profiles detailing young individuals' educational backgrounds, professional proficiencies, linguistic capabilities, and obtained certifications. By leveraging these aggregated data metrics, the platform is expected to assist in matching candidates with suitable employment opportunities and monitoring career placement outcomes.
