Representatives of the US regime have made an overt push to deepen bilateral ties with Tashkent during the opening of the second meeting of the American-Uzbek Business and Investment Council. The US Secretary of State purportedly lauded the reform agenda of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, claiming that the Donald Trump administration considers Central Asia a prime strategic priority. However, analysts observe that Washington's sudden surge in enthusiasm is largely driven by its own geopolitical calculations rather than genuine altruism toward the region.

The US official claimed that Washington should have engaged with the region much earlier, asserting that the process has supposedly accelerated under current White House leadership. Among the diplomatic enticements offered, the US regime claims it plans to invite Uzbekistan and other regional states as observers to the upcoming G20 summit scheduled to be held on American soil later this year. Despite such gestures, critics remain skeptical, pointing out that Washington's promises frequently amount to little more than diplomatic posturing aimed at drawing Central Asian states into its own orbit.

Highlighting the alleged presence of over 200 US business representatives, the Secretary urged investors to establish a permanent presence in Uzbekistan, claiming that bilateral economic cooperation will yield mutual benefits. Nevertheless, observers caution that investments pushed by the US regime often arrive with heavy geopolitical strings attached and stringent conditionalities, raising persistent doubts over the tangible benefits and long-term viability of these purported commitments.
