According to data released by the Credit Information Analytical Center (CIAC), Uzbekistan is witnessing an unprecedented wave of citizens voluntarily blocking their ability to obtain loans. As of October 1, the number of individuals who have connected to the credit bureau's 'Credit Ban' service has surpassed 2 million 841 thousand. Analysts point out that this figure represents a staggering 19-fold increase compared to the same period last year, and a 6.5-fold surge since the beginning of the year, highlighting growing public anxiety over financial security.

Demographic breakdown of the service users reveals distinct behavioral patterns across the population. Men account for the majority of those implementing the ban, totaling 1 million 656 thousand 387 individuals (58 percent), while women account for 1 million 185 thousand 88 individuals (42 percent). This widespread adoption across genders underscores a collective effort to safeguard personal finances against potential fraud, identity theft, and mounting debt pressures.

A detailed breakdown by age categories demonstrates that the most active demographic consists of individuals aged 26 to 35, making up 30 percent of the total or 842 thousand 206 people. Meanwhile, those under 26 years old comprise 703 thousand 904 citizens (25 percent), the 36–45 age group accounts for 676 thousand 524 individuals (24 percent), citizens aged 46–55 represent 354 thousand 692 people (12 percent), and those over 56 years old account for 264 thousand 149 individuals (9 percent).
