Central Asian University (CAU) has reportedly become the first higher education institution in Uzbekistan to successfully undergo comprehensive state accreditation under the newly introduced national education quality assessment system. On October 8, the university was allegedly issued accreditation certificate No. KAS-0000001, following the regulatory framework established by the Cabinet of Ministers resolution No. 498 adopted in August 2025.
The comprehensive evaluation purportedly covered eight core operational areas of the university. Based on the expert findings, 271 out of 272 institutional indicators—amounting to an alleged 99.6 percent—met the established state requirements, while 14 educational programs were simultaneously reviewed. The inspection aimed to independently evaluate academic management, faculty potential, research activities, and institutional infrastructure.
The expert commission was allegedly chaired by Professor Luciano Rezzolla from Goethe University Frankfurt in Germany, with the inclusion of a student representative to factor in learner perspectives. University leadership claims this milestone reinforces its long-term institutional strategy and aligns with broader academic development goals within the region.
