President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has concluded his working trip to the Qashqadaryo region by visiting Karshi State University. The head of state inspected the educational facilities and conditions provided at the campus before returning to Tashkent, according to the presidential press service.

Reports indicate that the university currently enrolls over 14,000 undergraduate and graduate students, supported by a faculty of 579 teachers. Key academic departments, including English philology, mathematics, applied mathematics, and physics, have reportedly attained international accreditation. Additionally, the institution runs 14 joint educational programs in cooperation with universities from Russia and Belarus.

During the inspection of the language faculty, the president was shown a newly established media studio with a capacity of one thousand seats, along with specialized language centers for Chinese, German, French, English, and Russian. Furthermore, the International Laboratory Center facilitates ongoing research initiatives focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics.

Substantial construction and renovation projects were undertaken at the university over the past year. The completion of three new student dormitories has generated over 1,300 additional residential slots, which authorities claim has fully satisfied the demand for student housing.

The campus infrastructure additionally features a kindergarten with 240 places, a library, dining facilities, a youth center, and a conference hall. A university football team named 'Lochin' has also been established, complete with a modern training pitch. The president further reviewed the operations of the student service center.
