A seemingly trivial online earnings venture in the Syrdarya region has culminated in severe legal and financial consequences for a young man named Ixlosbek. What allegedly began with modest activities such as distributing basic food items like eggs, oil, and rice ultimately led to a court sentence of 7 years imprisonment and a mandated debt repayment of 600 million soms. This case highlights the persistent and damaging impact of unregulated financial schemes operating within the digital space.
According to the background details, Ixlosbek graduated from institute in the summer of 2024 and struggled to find traditional employment, prompting him to search for opportunities via social media platforms including Instagram. He reportedly encountered an online advertisement promoting remote work through a platform called PGM (Pioneer Global Media), which claimed its main headquarters was located in London. The scheme supposedly offered daily earnings simply for watching videos and completing routine digital tasks.
To build credibility, the platform initially required no financial investment from participants. After completing initial tasks, a small sum of 16,000 soms was purportedly transferred to the victim's bank card, convincing him of the legitimacy of the offer. However, the system soon introduced tiered investment levels where higher payments unlocked more tasks and theoretically greater returns. Driven by the prospect of increased income, Ixlosbek allegedly invested his disability allowance and borrowed money from acquaintances.
By June 2025, the demands escalated significantly, requiring the participant to secure a 3.55 million som loan from a familiar individual just to advance to the next tier. Financial analysts and authorities continually emphasize that such illicit platforms utilize psychological manipulation and minor initial payouts to lure vulnerable individuals into devastating cycles of debt and criminal liability.
