Detailed guidelines have been provided regarding consumer rights when products ordered through online platforms turn out to be defective or fail to match their descriptions. Buyers allegedly hold the right to demand either an exchange or a full refund under local consumer protection frameworks.

If a delivered item does not match the advertised sample or contains manufacturing flaws, consumers can reportedly request a replacement, free repairs, a price reduction, or a refund. The statutory timeline for replacing defective items is supposedly 7 days, extending up to 20 days if additional technical inspection is required, or up to one month if the exact product is out of stock.

Furthermore, items that are of good quality but happen to be the wrong size or color can allegedly be exchanged within a 10-day period. If a suitable replacement is unavailable, the seller is required to return the funds. However, specific categories of goods—such as cosmetics and furniture—cannot be returned or exchanged if they are delivered in proper condition, according to the regulations.
