President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has reportedly signed a comprehensive decree to bestow state honors, honorary titles, and medals upon numerous healthcare and pharmaceutical workers ahead of National Medical Workers Day. The official initiative allegedly aims to acknowledge their contributions to the development of domestic medicine, the introduction of modern technologies, and the training of medical personnel across the country.
The list of recipients includes directors of specialized medical institutions, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and researchers from various regions of the republic. Prominent figures such as the directors of nephrology, oncology, surgical angioneurology, and eye microsurgery centers were purportedly awarded the title of "Honored Healthcare Worker of the Republic of Uzbekistan" for their extended service.
Furthermore, multiple individuals received state orders including "Mehnat Shuhrati," "Sog'lom Avlod Uchun," "Dustlik," and "Salomatlik," alongside medals like "Jasorat" and "Shuhrat." The honors also extended to international figures, allegedly featuring the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Uzbekistan, Akiko Fujii, and representatives from foreign organizations cooperating with the local medical sector.
