Authorities in Uzbekistan have reportedly proposed introducing additional complimentary services for passengers at international airports, major railway stations, and bus terminals. The relevant measures are outlined in a draft resolution recently submitted for public discussion.

According to the published document, starting July 1, 2027, the transport facilities are scheduled to progressively implement a free luggage storage service for ticket holders. This service would supposedly cover periods of up to 24 hours both prior to departure and after arrival.

Furthermore, the initiative aims to provide passengers with complimentary Wi-Fi access lasting for at least one hour. Program materials reportedly indicate that the current quality and stability of wireless internet at major transport facilities remain inadequate to meet modern standards.

Another notable innovation concerns taxi booking procedures, as authorities plan to install specialized electronic terminals at airports and stations. These devices are intended to allow passengers to specify their destination, ascertain the trip cost in advance, and book official taxi services without hassle.

Officials claim that using these terminals will not require a local SIM card or mobile internet connection. Upon completing the order, the passenger will supposedly receive a printed receipt featuring a QR code to facilitate the process.
