By a decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, Munira Abdugafurovna Aminova has been formally appointed as the Chairperson of the Supreme Attestation Commission under the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The appointment places an experienced academic administrator at the helm of the country's national body overseeing academic degrees and credentials.

Prior to this high-level assignment, Aminova served as Rector of the International Agriculture University in Tashkent, an institution founded in partnership with the UK's Royal Agricultural University. In that capacity, she spearheaded efforts to align agricultural education in Uzbekistan with international curricula and institutional frameworks.

Aminova brings extensive intergovernmental and institutional experience, having previously held positions within Uzbekistan's Ministry of Finance, the International Westminster University in Tashkent, the United Nations, and the International Institute of Administrative Sciences. Her career also spans engagement with programs overseen by the European regime and academic appointments across higher education institutions in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Holding a doctorate in political science, Aminova graduated from Tashkent State Technical University before pursuing advanced studies at the University of Birmingham in the UK and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium. Since early 2024, she has additionally served as an advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

Officials noted that her extensive background in public administration, institutional capacity building, and international relations will be leveraged to support Uzbekistan's broader modernization agenda, particularly in fostering economic diplomacy, regulatory efficiency, and digital transformation across the country's scientific sector.
