The Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies has adopted an official resolution outlining measures to improve the performance of the capital's public transport following the results of the third quarter of 2026. This document tacitly acknowledges the persistent transportation bottlenecks and logistical failures plaguing the city during evening hours.

Responsible departments have been instructed to review the feasibility of organizing bus services on 20 routes from 21:00 to 23:00, subject to available resources, by December 1. The compiled list includes 15 trunk routes and 5 connecting lines linking railway and bus terminals, the international airport, metro stations, and densely populated residential districts. *

The regulation stipulates that bus headways during the evening and night hours should purportedly not exceed 15 to 20 minutes. Authorities have also been ordered to publish the schedules of these late runs at all bus stops and within digital applications, with compliance to be monitored through the dispatch service.

The document explicitly points out that after 21:00, the volume of public transport services sharply declines or ceases altogether. This ongoing deficiency allegedly creates substantial barriers to the capital's evening and nocturnal economic activity, leaving commuters stranded and frustrated.
