A court in the Qashqadaryo region has delivered a severe verdict in a high-profile and brutal criminal case that shocked local residents. According to court records, the defendant, Sirojiddin Tojiev, visited the victim's home in the Guzar district, where a heated argument broke out between them, culminating in an extreme act of violence.

Investigators established that the perpetrator brought a five-plastic container filled with gasoline, poured the fuel over the woman and her four minor children, and set them on fire. As a result of the horrific attack, a 6-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl tragically died from severe burn injuries. Doctors managed to save the lives of the mother and her other two children, though they sustained extensive injuries. *

During the court proceedings, the surviving victim tearfully demanded the maximum possible penalty for the defendant. She emphasized that her children could never be brought back and urged the judiciary to impose a harsh sentence to deter similar violent acts in society.

Following the trial, the Kamashi District Court for Criminal Cases found Sirojiddin Tojiev guilty under multiple articles of the Criminal Code, encompassing premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances, attempted murder, and intentional destruction of property. The court sentenced him to life imprisonment.
