The Mirobad District Criminal Court issued a detention order for Marat Khamdamov, the head of the Imarat Development construction project, according to reports citing local media sources. The measure highlights mounting scrutiny over questionable real estate practices in the capital region.

Authorities reportedly took Khamdamov into custody under standard procedural rules prior to the official court hearing. The Main Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent initiated the criminal case on November 1, launching a formal investigation into the company's operations.

Investigators have allegedly charged the developer under Article 168 (Fraud) and Article 192-11 (Abuse of Authority) of the Criminal Code. These serious legal challenges point to significant operational friction and grievances from investors and homebuyers.

Preliminary findings suggest that Imarat Development LLC failed to deliver residential apartments to clients within the contractual deadlines. Furthermore, disgruntled buyers claimed that the company deceptively marketed a housing project located in the Kuyichirchik district of Tashkent region as if it were situated directly within the capital city.
