Significant structural adjustments have taken place within the judicial branch of Uzbekistan. Alisher Usmanov has officially departed from his position, stepping down as the first deputy chairman of the Supreme Court amid ongoing personnel updates.

Farrukh Soyibjonovich Abduraimov has been elected as the new first deputy chairman of the Supreme Court and head of the judicial board for a five-year term. The appointment was formally reviewed and approved during a meeting of the Senate Council of the Oliy Majlis held on November 3.

Prior to this elevation, Abduraimov reportedly served as the chairman of the Syrdarya regional court, accumulating substantial experience within the local judicial administration before moving to the national level.

Meanwhile, the departing official, Alisher Otakhonovich Usmanov, had been holding the position of the Supreme Court's first deputy chairman since September 2025. Authorities have not yet disclosed specific reasons regarding the motives behind his departure.
