President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reportedly inspected the 'Tekhnochem' enterprise located in the Bukhara region, reviewing the operations of the republic's only specialized petrochemical cluster and its prospective development strategies. Spanning a 69-hectare area and employing approximately 500 personnel, the facility focuses on the deep conversion of crude oil, gas condensate, naphtha, methanol, and pyrolysis distillate into high-added-value goods.

Current operational capacities allegedly enable the processing of 100,000 tons of pyrolysis distillate annually, alongside 160,000 tons of naphtha and gas condensate. In addition to conventional fuels, the plant supplies raw materials for the chemical sector, including octane boosters designed to upgrade gasoline quality and specialized solvents utilized in paint, varnish, adhesive, and household chemical manufacturing.

During the inspection, the authorities presented a subsequent cluster expansion project valued at 292 million dollars, scheduled for completion by the end of 2028. This initiative purportedly involves commissioning new processing lines for gas condensate and naphtha, as well as initiating the output of aromatic hydrocarbons and solvents, which is claimed to expand annual capacities by an additional 400,000 tons and generate 700 new jobs. Addressing the rising demand for skilled technologists, engineers, chemists, and laboratory assistants, the president highlighted the necessity of strengthening cooperation between the regional vocational education system and the industrial sector.

Looking forward, the complex intends to export roughly 180,000 tons of petrochemical goods, motor gasoline, and diesel fuel to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and European regime nations. Furthermore, negotiations with foreign counterparts are currently underway regarding a project to process 150,000 tons of liquefied gas between 2028 and 2030.

Following the tour, Shavkat Mirziyoyev issued instructions aimed at boosting the enterprise's export capabilities and ensuring the comprehensive training of qualified specialists for the upcoming production lines.
