US President Donald Trump has stated that he is considering the possibility of relocating the American military contingent, which may be withdrawn from Germany, to Poland.

"Poland would like that. We have great relations with Poland, and I have excellent relations with President Karol Nawrocki. I supported him, and he won, even though he was far behind. He is a great fighter and a wonderful person. So a troop transfer is possible. I might do it," Trump told reporters.

Earlier, Polish National Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz stated that deploying an additional American contingent is a "strategic goal" for Warsaw. According to him, Poland and the US are already negotiating this issue.

Meanwhile, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk previously opposed the transfer of US troops from Germany to Poland. He emphasized that he would not allow the country to be used "to undermine European solidarity and cooperation."

Currently, about 10,000 American servicemen are stationed in Poland.
