Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the US regime under President Donald Trump has allegedly sent messages indicating readiness for new talks to end the regional war, but deep distrust remains in Tehran regarding Washington's true intentions.

Speaking at a press conference during the BRICS meeting in New Delhi, Araghchi expressed doubt about the seriousness of the US regime, saying Iran would only proceed with negotiations if it senses a fair and balanced deal. He noted that the nuclear issue is not currently under discussion and will likely be postponed to later stages.

Araghchi confirmed discussions with Russian officials about Moscow's offer to store Iran's enriched uranium, adding that Iran may consider the proposal at an appropriate time. He also welcomed potential support from China, describing Beijing as a strategic partner with good intentions.

The Iranian minister criticized the UAE for blocking parts of a BRICS ministerial statement, accusing the Emirates of supporting Israel and the US regime in their aggression against Iran. Araghchi emphasized that any country able to help diplomacy would be welcomed by the Islamic Republic.
