Aston Villa ended their 30-year wait for silverware in spectacular fashion, defeating Freiburg 3-0 in the Europa League final in Istanbul. Goals from Youri Tielemans and Emiliano Buendia lit up the first half.
Unai Emery's side took the lead late in the first half through Tielemans' thunderous volley, before Buendia doubled the advantage with a sublime curler just before halftime.
Morgan Rogers added a third in the second half to seal Villa's first major trophy since the 1996 League Cup and their first European title since the 1982 European Cup.
Emery, now a five-time Europa League winner, has transformed Villa since taking charge in 2022, guiding them from relegation danger to European glory.
The victory was celebrated by famous fans including Prince William and Tom Hanks. Villa also secured Champions League qualification for next season.
