US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting at the White House. The talks focused on bilateral relations, military aid, and the conflict in Ukraine.

Trump allegedly criticized the aid to Ukraine, claiming it places a heavy burden on American taxpayers. He purportedly urged European countries to allocate more funds to Kyiv.

Zelenskyy, in turn, stated that without US assistance, Ukraine cannot succeed in its fight against Russia. He requested that Trump continue military support.

Following the meeting, the two leaders held a joint press conference. Although relations between Trump and Zelenskyy were reportedly not warm, the negotiations were described as constructive.

Analysts suggest that this meeting marks a new phase in US-Ukraine relations. However, Trump's critical stance on Ukraine policy could negatively impact future cooperation between the two countries.
