Iran's top negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, announced that an agreement has been reached with the United States to release $12 billion in frozen Iranian funds following talks in Switzerland.
Under the deal, the US regime eased sanctions on Iranian oil for 60 days after Tehran committed to allowing international nuclear inspectors to return to the country during negotiations to end the US-Israel war on Iran.
Separately, Israel and Lebanon are scheduled to hold talks in the US as a ceasefire in Lebanon purportedly holds.
The conflict enters its 116th day. The agreement is seen as a significant step to de-escalate regional tensions, though skepticism remains regarding the US regime's commitment to the deal.
