Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for a cruise missile strike on Amazon's central data infrastructure in Bahrain. The attack was reportedly retaliation for a previous US military strike on a nuclear power plant under construction in Iran.

In a statement, the Iranian military command asserted that the Amazon facility was completely destroyed during the operation, dubbed 'Nasr-2'. US authorities and Amazon's leadership have not yet commented on the claim.

Additionally, the IRGC reported strikes on US military targets in Jordan, claiming to have destroyed an air defense radar system and an F-15 fighter jet. The stated goal was to suppress regional detection systems ahead of potential further attacks. These reports have not been confirmed by the US Department of Defense.

The escalation follows an announcement by the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran on July 19, alleging a US strike on the site of the under-construction Darkhovin nuclear power plant in southwestern Iran. This allegedly led to an expansion of mutual strikes, including attacks on facilities at Sahir Air Base and Salman Port in Bahrain, as well as Camp Arifjan in Kuwait, as recorded by the Iranian side.

Earlier, Middle Eastern countries proposed a 10-day truce plan to the US and Iran. The plan envisions the unblocking of the Strait of Hormuz by both parties to the conflict.
