Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton testified on Thursday before the House Oversight Committee of the US Congress, which is investigating the crimes of financier Jeffrey Epstein, convicted for sexual exploitation of minors.

In an opening statement released before the hearing, Clinton emphasized that she had no knowledge of the criminal activities of Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. She also stated that she never met him, flew on his plane, or visited his properties.

Clinton called on the committee to summon current US President Donald Trump to testify. She noted that if the investigation aims to establish the truth, questions about potential involvement should be asked directly and under oath.

Clinton also criticized the work of the House Oversight Committee, accusing it of insufficient transparency. According to her, the hearings are being held without media access, and key figures in the case are not being fully summoned.
