Russia's Ministry of Defence claimed on Saturday that its forces struck several industrial facilities across Ukraine, including the Zaporizhstal steelmaker in the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia, according to Interfax.

The ministry also alleged hitting an Interpipe Steel complex in Dnipro and several plants in Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Additionally, two cargo vessels were reportedly hit overnight in the Black Sea port of Chornomorsk.

These attacks followed Ukraine's drone strikes on industrial facilities in Russia's Samara region. Russia's Defence Ministry claimed its forces downed 230 Ukrainian drones overnight over more than a dozen Russian regions, as well as over Crimea and the Azov and Black seas.

In Togliatti, Samara region, several residential buildings were damaged and one person was injured, according to Mayor Ilya Sukhikh. In Taganrog, Rostov region, four commercial properties were set ablaze, local Mayor Svetlana Kambulova said.

Since its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Russia has systematically attacked Ukraine's power grid, defence plants and logistics hubs to disrupt arms production and undermine supply networks. Ukraine has launched its own long-range campaign against Russian oil refineries, disrupting war revenue and causing domestic fuel shortages.

On Friday, at least two people were killed in Russian strikes on two petrol stations in Kyiv. Mayor Vitali Klitschko said 12 others, including a 12-year-old boy, were injured. One person was also killed in the Kyiv region.

Ukraine carried out drone attacks on Russia, killing one in the Kursk region and one in the Belgorod region. In Volgograd, two people were injured in a missile attack that hit residential buildings and damaged an industrial facility.
