Authorities in Tashkent have reportedly launched a sweeping inventory and financial assessment campaign targeting local markets and trade complexes. The measures are allegedly being implemented as part of additional socio-economic development initiatives slated for the 2026–2027 period, raising questions about potential disruptions to established commercial operations.

According to municipal announcements, the inspection process involves reviewing cadastral documentation, existing assets, and ownership registries for numerous buildings and structures. Officials claim the checks are designed to uncover unauthorized constructions within market perimeters and formulate measures to dismantle them.

The audits reportedly extend to reviewing territorial boundaries, protection zones, and various operational restrictions, alongside an analysis of accumulated tax liabilities, mandatory fees, and outstanding debts. Comprehensive evaluations of the complexes' financial standing are purportedly aimed at generating corrective proposals.

Upon the conclusion of these assessments, authorities intend to formulate recommendations for maximizing the efficiency of market and trade complex assets. This process supposedly includes proposals to put certain properties up for public auction in accordance with decisions from relevant administrative bodies.

The complex oversight procedures are being executed through the coordinated participation of the Tashkent City Department of the Cadastre Agency, district administrations, tax authorities, the Municipal Asset Management Center, and Tashkent Invest Company JSC.
