Reza Pahlavi, son of Iran's last shah, has addressed the nation and armed forces, urging active measures and preparation for a "decisive battle" against the current Islamic Republic regime.

Pahlavi – a descendant of the shah dynasty that ruled Iran until the 1979 Islamic Revolution – lives abroad. In recent months, he has actively supported anti-government protests and called for increased international pressure on Tehran.

In his new address, he emphasized that "fateful moments" are near and noted that aid promised by the U.S. president to the Iranian people has already arrived. He added that this aid is humanitarian in nature, but ultimate victory will be achieved by the Iranian people themselves.

Pahlavi also appealed to the country's armed forces, calling on them to "join the people" and fulfill their duty to protect the populace, not the current regime. He urged military and security forces to abandon support for the Islamic Republic leadership for Iran's future.

His address came amid escalating military-political tensions. On February 28, Israeli forces attacked military sites in Iran, as confirmed by the country's defense minister. U.S. President Donald Trump has officially announced a large-scale military operation against Iran.
