International media, citing sources, reported that the new series of US and Israeli strikes on Iran may have targeted representatives of the republic's top military, political, and religious leadership.

According to Israeli state broadcaster Kan, among the possible targets were Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Al Jazeera reported that the strikes hit the Pasteur administrative district in central Tehran, where the presidential palace and the supreme leader's residence are located. An AFP correspondent noted heightened security measures and street closures in the area after the attacks.

Per information from a source in the Iranian leadership relayed by Reuters, Khamenei is in a safe location outside the capital. Iranian sources also stated that General Amir Hatami was unharmed.

CNN, citing Israeli officials, reported that the attacks may have targeted Chief of Staff Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, Secretary of the National Security Council Ali Larijani, and Secretary of the Defense Council Ali Shamkhani. There are also reports of a strike on the intelligence headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

In addition to Tehran, strikes were carried out on targets in the cities of Isfahan, Qom, Karaj, and Kermanshah. Information on the consequences of the attacks is not available at the time of publication.

US President Donald Trump stated that the operation is aimed against a "radical dictatorship" and emphasized that Iran will not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the US and Israeli actions as an operation to eliminate an "existential threat."
