Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Bahrain as part of retaliatory strikes across the region in response to a "massive" attack by the US and Israel.

Plumes of black smoke were seen near the US Navy's Fifth Fleet headquarters in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of damage is unclear, and the US has not commented.

The UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait—all hosting US military bases—reported intercepting missiles in their airspace.

Qatar's defense ministry stated it intercepted several missiles apparently targeting Al Udeid Air Base, the largest US base in the region.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps said it was targeting US bases and assets under operation "Truthful Promise 4," retaliating for the US-Israeli attack launched on Saturday morning.

In Israel, sirens sounded after the military detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The UAE defense ministry said the country faced "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles," with air defenses intercepting several missiles. Debris fell in an Abu Dhabi residential area, causing material damage and killing one civilian.
