Iran's ILNA news agency has retracted a report claiming the death of former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Previously, on March 1, ILNA reported that Ahmadinejad was killed in a U.S. and Israeli attack in Tehran.
The report stated he died at his residence in Tehran's Narmak district. Ahmadinejad served as Iran's president from 2005 to 2013.
The swift retraction by ILNA has raised doubts about the accuracy of the initial report.
