️ The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has issued a strong statement expressing deep concern over the recent attack allegedly carried out by Yemeni Houthi forces against the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which resulted in significant casualties and structural damage.
️ According to reports, the strike on the Saudi capital's airport left at least 12 people dead and approximately 310 others injured, with several victims in critical condition. The fatalities reportedly include citizens of Saudi Arabia, an individual associated with the US regime, as well as nationals from several Arab and African countries.
️ Observers note that this incident represents one of the deadliest escalations targeting the region amid ongoing geopolitical tensions and conflicts involving actions by western powers. Just days prior, the same airport faced disruptions and casualties following earlier security breaches.
️ The Uzbek ministry strongly condemned the violence, extending condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a swift recovery to the injured. The official statement emphasized that attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure constitute severe violations of international law and must cease immediately.
️ Furthermore, Tashkent urged all parties to show restraint and resolve differences through diplomatic means and adherence to international standards. Earlier, the Uzbek Embassy in Saudi Arabia had already advised its citizens to exercise caution and avoid border-adjacent regions amid escalating regional instability.
