Italian rider Marco Bezzecchi powered to a commanding victory at the Indonesian Grand Prix on Sunday, mastering the sweltering conditions at the Mandalika International Circuit. Riding for Aprilia, Bezzecchi delivered a calculated performance, making a decisive overtake in the final third of the 27-lap race to secure his first Grand Prix win since May.

The race concluded with a clean podium sweep for Aprilia machinery. Spain's Raul Fernandez held on to cross the line in second place, while compatriot Jorge Martin finished third. Meanwhile, reigning seven-time world champion Marc Marquez endured a challenging afternoon on his Ducati, finishing in sixth position and forfeiting crucial ground in the championship standings.

The result propelled Martin back to the summit of the MotoGP world championship table. The Spaniard now leads the standings with 355 points, holding a razor-thin two-point margin over Marquez, who sits on 353 points with five race weekends left in the season. Bezzecchi remains a formidable contender in third place overall with 309 points.

Following the race, Bezzecchi expressed immense relief and gratitude toward his crew, noting that the victory was a hard-earned reward following months of adversity. Martin echoed satisfaction with his third-place finish, explaining that despite losing ground at the start, methodical overtakes allowed him to salvage a podium and reclaim the championship advantage ahead of the upcoming Australian round.

Fernandez's gritty performance stood out as one of the weekend's highlights, as he led the race for 18 laps despite racing with two fractured fingers sustained during Saturday's sprint crash. He fended off relentless pressure until lap 19, when Bezzecchi finally launched his winning maneuver, pulling clear to win by 4.26 seconds.
