According to Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), as of March 1, Israel has fired over 1,200 munitions at military targets in Iran, including ballistic missile launchers and air defense systems.
Lebanon's Hezbollah armed group announced on the morning of March 2 that it launched rockets at Israel in response to the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and "repeated Israeli aggressions." Israel retaliated with extensive missile strikes across Lebanon, including the capital Beirut.
CNN notes the war between the US, Israel, and Iran has caused "aviation chaos" in the Middle East and beyond. Airlines worldwide canceled flights, affecting tens of thousands of passengers, including Air France, Emirates, and others.
As of March 2, airspace over the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Israel, Bahrain, Iraq, and Iran remains closed. Major transit airports in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha are also closed.
Uzbekistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised citizens to postpone travel to Middle Eastern countries.
