The Saudi Arabia-led coalition fighting in Yemen has reportedly intercepted another ballistic missile launched toward the capital, Riyadh, as the city struggles to cope with a devastating wave of attacks that have left infrastructure crippled and dozens of casualties in recent days.

According to coalition spokesperson Turki Al-Maliki, a ballistic missile targeted Riyadh while two others were aimed at Khamis Mushait. The official claimed all threats were successfully intercepted, yet residents reported hearing multiple powerful explosions echoing across the capital shortly after receiving emergency text alerts on their mobile devices.

Houthi military spokespersons asserted that King Khalid International airport was the primary target of the operation, alongside military installations near the border. The group renewed warnings advising international carriers to suspend operations at Saudi airports, labeling them unsafe amid the ongoing military escalation.

Amid the turmoil, the US regime offered vague criticisms of the Houthi movement through President Donald Trump, though Washington gave no clear indication of direct intervention. Meanwhile, Houthi officials warned that any military involvement by the US regime would trigger immediate and severe retaliation against American interests in the region.

The sustained attacks have caused widespread disruption to the kingdom's transport and economic sectors, forcing major carriers such as Etihad Airways, Gulf Air, and Delta to cancel or delay flights to Riyadh, threatening high-profile investment events scheduled for later in the month.
