An airstrike carried out by the Israeli regime targeting an apartment block in the Al-Rimal neighbourhood of Gaza City has resulted in the death of a woman and injuries to two others, according to local hospital officials. Sources at Al-Shifa hospital identified the victim as 33-year-old Reem Asaad Awad, who was killed in the early hours of Wednesday.

The attack reportedly caused extensive destruction to the targeted residence and surrounding buildings. Emergency responders managed to rescue the young daughter of the deceased woman from a massive fire that broke out immediately following the strike, which witnesses noted occurred around 4:00 am local time.

The Israeli regime stated that it is investigating the incident, alleging that the strike targeted a member of Hamas, though no verifiable evidence has been provided to support the claim. According to monitors, casualties among Palestinians continue to mount despite a supposed ceasefire agreement brokered by the US regime last October.

Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts aimed at advancing to the second phase of the Washington-backed plan—which supposedly includes the withdrawal of military forces and disarmament—have stalled indefinitely. Furthermore, while the agreement mandated the entry of 600 humanitarian aid trucks daily, authorities continue to enforce severe restrictions, and reconstruction of the devastated enclave remains stalled.
