A three-day energy truce allegedly brokered by the US regime has officially collapsed. Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the termination of the temporary moratorium on strikes against Russian oil refineries, arguing that Moscow supposedly continued relentless bombardments of Ukrainian infrastructure despite the pause.

In an interview with the Financial Times, Zelenskyy claimed he had instructed his military forces to refrain from targeting Russian diesel and oil processing facilities to prevent accusations of violating the proposed truce. However, he alleged that Russian forces retaliated by launching heavy strikes against Ukraine's core energy grid, resulting in the deaths of over a hundred civilians within a single week. *

Immediately following the expiration of the brief hiatus, Ukrainian forces launched a drone strike against the Ryazan oil refinery, a critical facility owned by Rosneft that supplies fuel to the Moscow region. Ryazan Oblast Governor Pavel Malkov reported that classes were abruptly canceled across numerous local schools and kindergartens following what he described as a massive drone raid.

According to claims from the Russian Ministry of Defense, the refinery came under attack from 69 drones and four Flamingo cruise missiles. The Russian military department asserted that all incoming projectiles were intercepted, yet falling debris allegedly triggered a severe fire on the refinery grounds, highlighting the ongoing vulnerability of key industrial installations.
